Briess Industries certified as
'Woman Business Enterprise'

January 23, 2004-- Briess Industries, Inc. has been certified as a "Woman Business Enterprise". The certification was made by the Business Educational Consortium Inc. of Milwaukee, Wisconsin. BECI certification is awarded only after it verifies that a business enterprise meets all federal, state and/or local requirements for certification as a woman-owned business. Briess Industries, Inc. is owned by Monica Briess.

Briess Industries, Inc. is the parent company of Briess Malt & Ingredients Company. Briess produces malt and other all-natural, value-added grain ingredients for the brewing, food and beverage industries. Briess is the largest producer of specialty malts in North America, and the only vertically integrated malting company in North America which means it produces malted barley extracts from its own malt.
