Lot Coding on Briess Ingredients
Each lot of malt produced by Briess receives a unique lot code based on the date of production. This code is composed of a series of numbers that identify the month, day and year of production and is printed on the label.
Start from the left and read to the right. The first two numbers correspond to the year that the product was manufactured. The second two numbers designate the month of production. And the last two numbers indicate the day of the month of production. Here's an example:

07 = 2007 | 01=January | 15=15th day of the month
This product was produced on 15th of January 2007.
