CBW® Sparkling Amber Malt Extract is a proprietary specialty malt extract produced by Briess Malt & Ingredients Company from a blend of our own specialty malts. Developed in the 1980s as a brewing grade malt extract for the production of red and amber craft beers, its functionality as a natural dough improver plus its sweet caramel flavor soon found favor within the baking industry for white bread, frozen dough, pizza crust, pretzels and crackers. Its appealing flavor and functionality also improves confectionery, icings and glazes. The natural sweetness and warm color of CBW® Sparkling Amber also make it well suited for cereal and granola as well as dry mixes including pancakes, waffles, brownies, and cakes.
